Method Description
Fusarium oxysporum is a soil-borne fungus that can cause vascular wilt disease. This species infects host plants through the roots, leading to the colonization of vascular tissues and obstruction of water and nutrient transport. This leads to symptoms of wilting, yellowing, stunted growth, and plant death in severe infections. Fusarium oxysporum can be identified in plant tissue using qPCR methods.
